Level: Hourly (25-29 hours) | $16.50 per hour

General Functions:

The Kinder -1st Grade Ministry Director executes the service experience for the Kinder -1st grade students, as well as overseeing the designated areas and volunteers.

Supervision Received:

Reports directly to the Children’s Ministry Pastor. The employee must seek authorization for a broad scope of tasks.

Scope & Dimensions:

Interacts with all staff, volunteers, and children to create a relevant, fun, and engaging experience for the Kinder -1st grade students.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Manage assigned ministry rooms and volunteers during our service experiences on Thursdays and Sundays.
  2. Leadership: recruit, train, and lead ministry volunteers (small group leaders, teachers, tech leaders, etc.).
  3. Discipleship: provide care for volunteers and families within the Kinder – 1st Grade Ministry.
  4. Create, edit, and prepare the necessary curriculum for the Kinder – 1st Grade Ministry.
  5. Purchase and prepare the necessary elements and supplies for weekly services and small group activities.
  6. Complete the assigned administrative tasks and weekly ministry requirements (volunteers scheduling, volunteer assimilation, etc.).
  7. Ensure all Eastlake Kids Ministry Policies and Procedures are followed.
  8. Assist with designated EastLake Kids Ministry events.
  9. Attend designated weekly ministry and staff meetings.
  10. Assist the Children’s Ministry Pastor with assigned responsibilities.

Experience And Educational Requirements:

  1. Technical Skills: Google Documents/Spread Sheets, Power Point, Canva, and Google Calendar.
  2. General audio/visual knowledge.
  3. Two years of experience in a related environment preferred.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Additional duties as assigned.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  1. Mobile – In and out of office to ensure task completion.
  2. Overtime hours as required by ministry needs.
  3. Church staff is required to abide by the Cultural Expectations (tithe, attendance, conduct, etc.).

  • This position is classified by the Church as a PART-TIME paid position and is non-exempt from the overtime provisions, as stated in the Employee Handbook.
